Is it safe to mount a TV above a fireplace? ▼
Yes, when done properly. Most modern fireplaces vent heat upward and away from the TV zone, but we always recommend checking your fireplace manual. We use specialized masonry hardware to ensure the TV is mounted securely.
Can you mount a TV on stone or brick without damaging it? ▼
Yes. We use specialized masonry drill bits and anchor systems designed for each surface type. For brick, we drill into mortar joints when possible. For stone, we use diamond-tip bits with slow-speed drilling to prevent cracking. The hardware is rated for your TV's weight with a safety margin.
What is a MantelMount and do you install them? ▼
A MantelMount is a pull-down TV mount that lets you lower the TV from above the fireplace to eye level for comfortable viewing. Yes, we install MantelMounts -- they work great in living rooms where the fireplace is the focal point but the TV would otherwise be too high for comfortable viewing.
