Can you mount a TV on a stone fireplace?
Yes. In most cases, the studs can be located behind the Stone and backer board. Traditional Lag Bolts would be too short given the extra depth from the Stone. We use appropriately sized heavy-duty Structural Fasteners like Simpson Strong-Tie and FastenMaster LOK Line to be fully secured into the studs. A Rotary Hammer Drill is used to drill through the mortar to reach the studs.
How do you mount a TV on uneven stone?
We use spacing hardware and precision shimming to create a level mounting plane on irregular stone surfaces. This ensures your TV hangs perfectly straight regardless of the stone texture.
Will mounting damage my stone fireplace?
We drill into the stone or mortar joints using the least invasive method appropriate for your surface. The anchor holes are small and can be filled if the mount is ever removed.
